Facebook Pixel Setup
Goimagine has the ability to sync with your Facebook Business Page through the Facebook Pixel. This will allow:
- Syncing your Goimagine Product Catalog into your Facebook Shop catalog automatically
- Allow for tracking of Facebook Ad conversions
- Allow for retargeting of Facebook Ads
The setup of the Facebook Business Page, Product Catalog and Pixel is all done through Facebook and not controlled by goimagine. That said, to assist our makers this help article will help guide you through getting your Facebook Pixel to insert into you goimagine shop.
NOTE: Facebook often updates and changes it's design so we can not guarantee how long these instructions will be accurate. We also can't provide help or advice on managing and create your Facebook Shop. This help article is meant to help you get your Facebook Pixel to insert it into your goimagine shop.
Let's get started:
FACEBOOK BUSINESS PAGE
If you haven't already created a Facebook Business Page you need to do this. Below are instructions on creating your business page. If you already have a Facebook business page skip to the next section.
STEP ONE: Click "Pages" on the left side panel
STEP TWO: Click "Create a New Page"
STEP THREE: Enter Business Information and "Create Page"
STEP FOUR: Click "Manage Shop"
STEP FIVE: Click "Start Shop Setup"
STEP SIX: Continue and Choose "Checkout on Another Website" for Checkout Method
STEP SEVEN: Enter Shop Information
STEP EIGHT: Create a Product Catalog
STEP NINE: Submit Shop for Review
NOTE: After you submit your shop for review the below message may appear. Facebook can take up to 7 days to recognize your new business page to go to the next step of creating a shop.
ONCE YOUR FACEBOOK BUSINESS PAGE AND SHOP IS CREATED IT'S TIME TO GET YOUR FACEBOOK PIXEL
STEP ONE: Click "Manage Shop"
STEP ONE: Click "Go to Commerce Manager"
STEP TWO: Click "More Tools"
STEP THREE: Click "Events Manager"
STEP THREE: Click "Connect Data Sources"
STEP FOUR: Choose "Web"
STEP FIVE: Choose "Facebook Pixel"
STEP SIX: Name your Pixel and click "Continue" (There's no need to add your website here)
STEP SEVEN: Your Pixel is now created! You will NOT be adding it manual to your website or using a partner integration. So, "x" out of this screen.
STEP EIGHT: You will now find our Facebook Pixel ID under data sources. Underneath the name of your pixel you will see the ID. "Copy & Past" this ID in the next step.
PHEW! The hard part is over. The easy part is in goimagine and it's only one step :)
Step One: Go to the Optional Settings Tab in your goimagine Shop Settings and paste your new Facebook Pixel ID there.
ACTIVATE AND TEST YOUR FACEBOOK PIXEL INTEGRATION
Do the following:
1) Go back to your Data Sources in the Facebook Events Manager
2) Choose your Facebook Pixel
3) Click "Test Events" Tab
4) Enter your website URL and click "Open Website"
