February 2021 Release Notes

The goimagine team is excited to announce some of our February 2021 upgrades. This release contains feature updates, enhancements and bug fixes focused on providing a better experience to our sellers and buyers.

Pounds & Ounces on Product Shipping Weights

We have created the ability for makers to enter shipping weight for products by using Pounds and Ounces. The two new weight fields will combine for the total weight. For example, "5.50 Pounds + 0 Ounces" or "5 Pounds + 8 Ounces" would be the same weight. So the maker is free to choose how they would like to enter their weights.

New Client Shipping Methods - Auto-Creation

It is clear that the hardest part for new makers to get started with a new shop is creating their shipping methods. While goimagine offers a lot of flexibility in shipping it also means there's a steeper learning curve. To help new makers all new shops will now automatically have the following shipping methods created out-of-the-box.

Makers will still be able to modify, delete or create new shipping methods if they would like to offer something custom, but for those interested in just having USPS automatically calculate their shipping by weight of the product this will be preset. This way new makers can get up and running faster in goimagine without having to create shipping methods if they don't want to.

Refined Mass Editing

The Mass Editing feature for products is a popular one in goimagine, but has offered too many options. This has made it more confusing to know which fields are easy to mass edit and which aren't. To make this more manageable we have reduced the number of fields available for mass editing to make it more simplified.

Order Messaging and Customer Communication

Up until now to initiate a conversation with a customer on an order the maker had to "enable" communication on the order. We have now enabled "Messages" to be active by default. So, it's now more easy and intuitive to start a conversation with a buyer directly from the order screen.

Creating Shipments on Orders

Previously, we have had two ways to insert Tracking Numbers on orders which has caused some confusion. This has led to occasionally makers completing an order without having the tracking number properly saved. So, the email automatically sent to the buyer wouldn't have the shipment tracking information. 

To make creating shipping more intuitive we have updated a "Create Shipment" button on orders that leads the maker directly to what they have to fill out to complete an order.

Easier Access to Shop Settings

A very simple tweak so that when the maker clicks on "Shop Settings" it brings them directly to the shop setup tabs. Before there was an extra step to choose the shop.

Removal of Fields that aren't used

We have hidden some fields in the Seller Dashboard that weren't needed on the maker's end. They were taking up space and making the dashboard more confusing for new makers. We promise you won't miss them.
