Understanding Analytics
All in-dashboard analytics are tracked by unique visitors, providing you with accurate insights into your shop's performance. You can view your analytics page by navigating to Shop Settings and choosing Analytics from the drop-down.
Please note that analytics data is approximately 24 hours behind and not displayed in real time. For optimal analysis, set a date range at the top of the page that spans at least 5 days.
Visitor Insights
- Views by State: Displays total views based on visitor location, helping you understand your geographic reach.
- Sessions by Device Category: This shows which devices (mobile, desktop, tablet) your visitors use, allowing you to optimize your shop for the most common platforms.
Traffic Sources
Sessions by Medium: Reveals how visitors found your shop:
- none: Visitors who found you directly through goimagine.com (either by searching or browsing the marketplace)
- empty: Cases where the original tracking source couldn't be identified. Depending on the link clicked, some Mosaic visits may also be classified as this medium.
- organic: Visitors who found you through non-sponsored search engine results (Google, Bing, etc.)
- cpc: Visitors from sponsored search engine links, typically Google Shopping
- paid: Visitors who arrived through paid advertisements
- referral: Visitors who clicked on a direct link that you or someone else shared
- social: Visitors who found you through social media links
- campaign: Visitors from Goimagine marketing campaigns (email or other initiatives)
- flow: Visitors from automated Goimagine emails (Abandoned Cart reminders, Retargeting Ads, etc.)
Product Performance
- Item Views by Category: Breakdown of product views by Marketplace Category, showing which categories attract the most interest. By default, it shows the top 8 categories. If you have products in more than 8 categories, it will group the remaining into the "Other" category. Hover over "Other" on the chart to see a breakdown of additional categories. You can also click the three dots (⋮) in the top right corner of this block to download a complete list.
- Item Views by Item Name: Detailed breakdown of views by individual product listing, identifying your most popular items. The top 7 items are displayed, with the remaining items grouped under "Other." Hover over "Other" on the chart to see a breakdown of additional items. You can also click the three dots (⋮) in the top right corner of this block to download a complete list.
- Item Views by Date: Timeline of total product views within your specified date range.
- Add to Carts by Date: The number of items added to carts each day within your specified date range indicates purchase intent.
Important Note on Analytics Comparison
If you're using a custom domain for your Mosaic shop, you may notice differences between Goimagine analytics and Google Analytics data. Goimagine's in-dashboard analytics currently focuses on visitor activity within the marketplace platform, while Google Analytics tracks all visits to your shop, including direct traffic to your custom domain. While some Mosaic traffic may be captured in the in-dashboard analytics, it may not be complete. Additionally, platforms use different methods for attributing traffic sources. For the most comprehensive understanding of your shop's performance, consider reviewing both in-dashboard analytics and Google Analytics together. We are hoping to release Mosaic-specific analytics at a future date.
